Now is the time to change from Vernier
Using Analog CBL sensors from Vernier or TI with a PASPort interface
Via the IW-4084 BTA-to-8-pin-DIN Adapter and PS-2158 PASPORT Analog Adapter, Vernier analog CBL sensors may interface with any of the following PASPort Interfacing systems:
- any PASPort interface connected to a computer running DataStudio 1.9.8.2+
- a stand-alone Xplorer GLX with Firmware 1.4.3 or later
- a stand-alone SPARK SLS with Firmware 1.10 or later
- a stand-alone PS-2000 Xplorer Datalogger (Displays voltage only when used in a stand-alone configuration.)
- a PS-2010 PASPORT AirLink 2 (When using the PS-2158 PASPORT Analog Adapter, the SPARKvue for iPhone app will only report a raw voltage that is linearly-related (Measurement = Constant1 *Voltage + Constant2) to the actual measurement value. Although Calibration is not possible on the AirLink 2 itself, one can email the raw voltages from the SPARKvue for iPhone application to yourself, open the email on a computer, and post-process the tab-delimited text in another application.)
Vernier sensors without predefined calibrations will require user-defined calibrations. The following Vernier CBL sensors have built-in calibrations for use with the PS-2008 SPARK SLS, PS-2002 Xplorer GLX, DataStudio 1.9.8.2+:
Dual-Range Force Sensor (DFS-BTA)
pH Sensor (pH-BTA)
Current Sensor (DCP-BTA)
Light Sensor (LS-BTA)
Gas Pressure Sensor (GPS-BTA)
Dissolved Oxygen Sensor (DO-BTA)
Conductivity Sensor (CON-BTA)
Colorimeter Sensor (COL-BTA)
Analog Vernier ULI sensors with a PASPort interface
This configuration requires all of the hardware above, except the IW-4084 BTA to 8-pin DIN Adapter.
