What is the PASCOcast?

We have had many requests for video tutorials demonstrating the use of PASCO equipment. In response to this, we are excited to announce the “PASCOcast”, videos in the form of a podcast, which you can download for free in the Apple iTunes store.

PASCOcasts will be released twice a month covering topics from live action experiment demos, screenshot software tutorial, to classroom footage of PASCO equipment in use. Viewing of the podcast will be available for computers and mobile devices.

In addition to accessing the PASCOcasts through iTunes, you can also view them here.

Atmospheric Properties Chamber

Demonstration of two activities with PASCO's Atmospheric Properties Chamber (ME-6813):http://www.pasco.com/go?me-6813

The first is an investigation of cloud formation when a sudden pressure drop causes the air temperature to dip below the dew point temperature.

In the second investigation, air is evacuated from the chamber to show water boiling at low temperature well below standard atmospheric pressure.

PASPORT probeware and SPARKvue software are used to record the pressure and temperature throughout each investigation.
